40 books I read in 2021: Mainly Bullshit

Why “Mainly bullshit”? Because it is f*cking hard to find good and valuable books. In 2021 I collected a very blended bookshelf. As you can see from the main picture I even have not a bookshelf ))

So my 2021 list is

Politics and history

Biography

  • Mr. Five Percent: The many lives of Calouste Gulbenkian, the world’s richest man — by Jonathan Conlin(ARM)
  • Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike — by Phil Knight(ARM)
  • Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story — by Arnold Schwarzenegger(RUS)
  • The Road to Home: My Life and Times — by Vartan Gregorian(ARM)

Science and Philosophy

Psychology

Nassim Nicholas Taleb — Incerto

  • Fooled by Randomness: The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and the Markets
  • The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable
  • The Bed of Procrustes: Philosophical and Practical Aphorisms
  • Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder
  • Skin in the Game: The Hidden Asymmetries in Daily Life

Bodo Shefer

  • Simply Leading(RUS)
  • The Road to Financial Freedom(RUS)
  • It is time to earn more(RUS)
  • Mental Alchemy(RUS)
  • Kira and Donuts Secret(RUS)

Self Growth and Time Management

  • The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams and Reaching Your Destiny — by Robin S. Sharma(ARM)
  • The Leader’s Pocket Guide: 101 Indispensable Tools, Tips, and Techniques for Any Situation — by John Baldoni(RUS)
  • The Startup Owner’s Manual: The Step-By-Step Guide for Building a Great Company — by Steve Blank, Bob Dorf(ENG)

  • The Magic Ladder to Success — by Napoleon Hill(ARM)
  • Think and Grow Rich — by Napoleon Hill(RUS)
  • The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business — Charles Duhigg(ARM)

… end

After reading some books about time management I understand that the best way to earn more free time is to not waste your time reading time management books. Never read more than 2 books from authors like Brayan Tracy, Napoleon Hill, Kiyosaki(), and other couch-style bestsellers, even my favorite Bodo Shefer )) and especially books written after authors being bestsellers.

… and finally

And in the end, I want to shortlist the most exciting books for me

  • Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story — by Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arny is one of my favorite examples of excitement. And he becomes more favorable after this book. Before reading you can watch this little video about 5 Rules of success by Arny.
  • Think Fast and Slow — by Daniel Kahneman
Kahneman is a leading scientist in the judgment and decision-making sphere. He describes how we make decisions and how many things are simpler than we could imagine and brilliantly uses statistics and math methods to show it.
  • The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable — By Nassim Nicholas Taleb
A new way of think, new ideas to think about even you can not agree.
  • Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder — by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
I think this is the best in Incerto and it would be better if he did not write “Skin in the game” after this.
  • Simply Leading—by Bodo Shefer
This is the best I have read in 2021 and maybe ever. Simple, applicable, and easy-to-use system for leading in any sphere. I even managed to make most of that system mine and apply it in my office.
  • The Road to Financial Freedom — by Bodo Shefer
This is a very good book to grow your financial skills. Especially if you can earn but not save your money like me :)
  • The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business — Charles Duhigg
No words. Just buy and read!

Thanks for reading !!!
